Congratulations to Tom Helm and the Ribble AV team for delivering an outstanding AV and automation project at The White Horse, our first Installation of the Month for 2025.
Following a major refurbishment, the restaurant required a fully integrated technology solution, including lighting and HVAC control, audio and video distribution, networking with guest access, and CCTV. The challenge was to implement high-performance audio that complemented the sophisticated interior design without disrupting the aesthetic.
Ribble AV
One of the key obstacles was the extensive use of mirrored glass on the ceiling, which meant traditional ceiling speakers were not an option. Instead, Ribble AV selected Artcoustic’s SL Evolve 1 on-wall speakers for their sleek design and exceptional sound quality.
After a detailed audio analysis by Artcoustic, the team determined that 16 Evolve 1 speakers, supported by 6 discreetly installed Sub Z subwoofers, would provide the best consistent and immersive sound experience throughout the bar and restaurant while remaining visually unobtrusive.
