Audio Concept were asked by the clients to create the ultimate 'discreet' Dolby Atmos cinema within the constraints of a 4.5 x 4m family living space.
With this being a multi-purpose room, every detail had to be considered. The space had to work as both a family living room and a full blown Dolby Atmos reference cinema system on demand. The aesthetic of the room was just as important as the cinematic experience itself. Any speaker on show had to be discreet and all of the AV equipment had to remain out of site.
The specialised AV furniture that houses two powerful Artcoustic PS2 subwoofers, the Trinnov Altitude 16 processor, Amplitude 8M power amps, Kaleidescape system, power management and networking equipment.
All of the Artcoustic speakers that are visible in the room are colour matched to the Farrow & Ball wall colour. Those that are not on show are recessed within the walls and covered by acoustic wall paneling that is colour matched to the same fabric used on the AV unit for a unified look.
